For over a decade, the physicians of Orthopedic Associates (OA) have worked with the Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball Team. Once again the trusted orthopedic provider serving the team, OA helped the Dragons celebrate their 20th season and cheered them on as the team finished 7th in the Eastern Division with a final record of 58 wins and 82 losses. The Dragons continued to draw in the crowds this summer as the team’s sell-out streak now stands at 1,385 consecutive sold-out games, an all-time record for sports in North America.

OA participated in a variety of events at the ballpark during the 2019 season. As the presenting sponsor of the Dragons 5K on July 20, we visited with the community and cheered on over 2,000 participants. For more information: https://www.milb.com/dayton/events/dragons5k

In August, we had the opportunity to host many OA friends and family at the ballpark. We honored the winners of the Dragons 5K and watched an OA patient, Dominick English, throw out the first pitch of the game. (Link to video of Dominick English).

Dr. Saunders is one of the trusted orthopedic providers who has worked closely with the Dragons team and was Dominick's surgeon. Several of OA’s providers are trained in Sports Medicine and have treated sports injuries from minor sprains to potential career-ending knee injuries. They are passionate about getting you back in the game - whatever it may be. Read more about our Sports Medicine capabilities. Additionally, since we know injuries often happen after business hours, OA operates our OrthoCare After Hoursoffice in Centerville. This office can provide orthopedic care on evenings and weekends.

We are looking forward to getting out to the ballpark to cheer on our Dayton Dragons in their 21st season.
